Wide eyes
Rolling in
The back of
My head again
On a year long journey to discover who we are
A smile
Crawled across your face
Drawn on with makeup
So it's been erased
But I hope it comes back
We'll make it stay forever
Just when I think that things couldn't get much better
We'd spend a day at the park in our favorite cable-knit sweaters
Alone I
Used to get so scared because
I felt so
Completely unprepared
I'm afraid to admit that
Because it might be true
I know that
We've all felt that way
So let's lock it up outside ourselves
And run as far away as we can
Tightly tethered to our dreams
Just when I think that things couldn't get much better
We'd spend a day at the park in our favorite cable-knit sweaters
And we will sing whoa...WHOA!
And finally see that everything can be beautiful

Name ten things you wanna do before you die and then go do them
Name ten places you really wanna be before you die and then go to them
Name ten books you wanna read before you die and then go read them
Name ten songs you wanna hear again before you die
Get all of your friends together and scream them
Because right now all you have is time time time yeah,
But someday that time will run out
That's the only thing you can be absolutely certain about
Think of all the things that are wrong with your life and then fix them
Think of all the things that you love about your life, be thankful you are blessed with them
Think of all the things that hold you back and realize that you don't need them
Think of all the mistakes you have made in your life
Make sure that you never repeat them
Because right now all you have is time time time yeah,
But someday that time will run out
That's the only thing you can be absolutely certain about
Name ten thousand reasons why you never wanna die
Go and tell someone who might've forgotten
Try to list the endless reasons why it's good to be alive
And then just smile for awhile about them
Soon the sun will rise and another day will come
Soon enough the sun will set, another day will be gone
Because right now all you have is time time time yeah,
But someday that time will run out
That's the only thing you can be absolutely certain about

Less Rush, More Fun
02:32
|
|||
Trees are passing by like strangers
Who awkwardly avoid each other
But I've realized
That motion feels right to me
And that my travels hold potential
For experiments and dreams
And that's the way it should be
Times tries to rush us through the day
As we're counting down the hours
We forget to be amazed
People have forgotten paper
And the value of things you can hold
I'd like to give you words
Scribbled down with ink on paper
Because the permanence of that makes me feel braver
And it gives me a place
To call my home
Times tries to rush us through the day
As we're counting down the hours
We forget to be amazed
And it makes me wonder
Why people are so scared to show their feelings
And live life the way
They think it should be

Adventures!
02:22
|
|||
Let's go exploring
See what we can find
Make our own adventures
It doesn't matter if that means
We're going thrifting
Or hiking through the woods
If we took the month off we'd leave this town for good
This is what we've waited for
How could I ask for more?
Let's keep doing this until we're cracked and old
And promise one another we'll stay gold
Let's build a cabin
And grow a garden
And invite our friends over for weekly potluck dinners
I'll make some pizza sauce
You can make the dough
And I'll arrange the toppings in cute little rows
This is what we've waited for
How could I ask for more?
Let's keep doing this until we're cracked and old
And promise one another we'll stay gold
We'll have a sing-along
Scream all our favorite songs
And then laugh at how our lungs hurt from being happy
Let's have shows in the basement
And even through the sweat
We'll realize that everything is perfect
This is what we've waited for
How could I ask for more?
Let's keep doing this until we're cracked and old
And promise one another we'll stay gold

Tiny Hands
01:32
|
|||
I've got tiny hands
But I guess they're proportionate
And I buy tiny versions of
Normal people things like
Tiny ginger ales and
Pants with 26 inch inseams and
Travel-size products that I
Keep packed in my bag
Everything always seems more intimidating than it truly is
And I hope I grow out of these confines that I've built for myself
And I just like to sing with friends and ride my bike and hold your hand
And pretend we can do anything
I like paperbacks better because
They're a bit smaller and
They're easier for me to hold
When I am reading them
It's funny being a little bit
Smaller than most people
And I think it's why I used to be
Shy and Awkward
Everything seemed more intimidating than it ever really was
And I've grown out of the confines that I built for myself
And I just like to sing with friends and ride my bike and hold your hand
And pretend we can do anything

Remember That Time?
02:22
|
|||
When we jumped into the river
We frightened all the schools of fishes
And they scattered in all directions
But came back together once the water settled
When we cleaned up the front yard
We raked the leaves into one pile
And then when I wasn't looking
You jumped in and they went everywhere
We're starting over
We like to tear it all apart
And examine each little piece
To find their places in our hearts
And from those tiny details
We build something bigger
It seems
And carry it with us
So we remember what we make
When we went to the hidden beach
We chased after a flock of geese
But they realized we had food
And they ran right back at us
When we baked some sugar cookies
I opened up a new bag of flour
But I tore it too much and it exploded like a snowstorm
We're starting over
We like to tear it all apart
And examine each little piece
To find their places in our hearts
And from those tiny details
We build something bigger
It seems
And carry it with us
So we remember what we make
When it rained for a week straight
We got sick of being in the house
And I grabbed your hand
And we danced through all the mud puddles
